This gun was designed to be absurdly awesome.

In the script, the character wielding this monstrosity was to punctuate his monologue by flipping three switches or performing three actions with the gun, so my solution was for him to be able to 1) turn on a power light (the glowing cylinder on the top,) 2) cock it, and 3) press a button which caused a crosshairs to pop up (you can see the little spring-loaded hook that holds the crosshairs in the down position.)
